WTOMCC WEEKEND RIDE  CUP OF TEA CHALLENGE – 2nd May 2021

Here’s a little information regarding the CUP OF TEA NACELLE CHALLENGES:

CUP:  for example Chester = C Upton = U Prenton = P then on to the next word

OF: The places can be villages, cities, public buildings or monuments.

TEA: The places can be villages, cities, public buildings or monuments.

The evidence has to be a photo with the place name and your motorcycle in the picture.

‘A dozen of us met at the Thatch.
One Bonnie owner stayed put with his dead bike, while the rest of us jumped onto the Chester High Road towards Capenhurst and stopped for the first photo by the village sign on the right.
From Capenhurst we jumped onto the A41 and headed towards Chester Zoo; the Upton by Chester photo opportunity was on the left before the Chester Zoo roundabout – there was a drop kerb just before the sign so we bump up the kerb and park next to the sign.
From Upton, we’re heading onto the A55 for a bit coming off at Pentre Halkyn.
Dave pulled over with an overheating T140ES along with Aimee, Chris and Paul.  Chris went ahead to tell the others, who were posing for a pic at Pant y Waco while the three amigos headed straight for the Whistlestop cafe in Rhuddlan where we all regrouped for all-day breakfast!
Dave and Aimee had to take the last pic at Prestatyn instead of Pant y Waco but all in all a lovely, eventful day out and most of us got our photos for the ‘Cup’ part of the Cup of Tea challenge!’
Thanks to Dave Pearson for the extra information about the ride.

The ride can be done by Individuals or the WTOMCC Club Members. Get in touch if you need more information.

From Capenhurst the riders rode onto the A41 and headed towards Chester zoo, the Upton by Chester photo opportunity is on the left before the Chester zoo roundabout for our second letter at Upton by Chester, this is the letter U/Upton
From Upton we joined the A55 for a few miles then exiting the A55 at Pentre Halkyn heading for Pantasaph, regrouping for a photograph on the moors then onto Pant y Wacco for our last letter.
From there onto lunch at the whistlestop cafe in Rhuddlan for some food and refreshments after a fun ride to complete our CUP challenge.
Unfortunately, the weather decided to join us from Rhuddlan through Dyserth, through Trelawnyd, down through Holywell over the QEII bridge past Chester and home
